South Korea's latest offer for denuclearization will not work because it is not designed to work in the first place and it is made for public consumption only. The authors of this plan know very well North will never accept this plan. But still they bring it out because this is how it works. You have to pretend in the public arena that you are suing for peace to keep public support on your side. But actually they have no intentions to stop North Korea from testing more and more nuclear bombs and long-range nuclear missiles which can wipe out entire population of korean peninsula in matters of minutes if not seconds.

Why the offer is being outrightly rejected by North Korea? It is because it is based on wrong assumptions.It assumes the Northern regime is in dire need of economic assistance to save itself from the coming meltdown of the North Korean economy and society.That situation in the North is so dire that the regime has no choice but to give up its nuclear weapons and other conventional weapons in return for big economic help to keep itself in power. It also expects North Korea to keep "good faith" in south Korea and USA that they will not attack the North once it had given up its nuclear weapons,nuclear missiles and conventional weapons.

But all experts about North Korean closely know that there is nothing like this. North has managed to survive and grow despite all kinds of western sanctions and natural calamities. There is no coming collapse of North Korea. There is no urgency to receive economic aid. "Good faith" has no place in geopolitics. So there is no way North Korea can give up its nuclear weapons in return for "good faith-based" security guarantees and big economic aid.

The question is why these people who are very learned and wise otherwise will author such a plan for North Korea in the first place. The honest answer is to keep their jobs. To keep the general public in good humor. Otherwise, they already know the North Korean question has already crossed the point of no return. There is no going back. Expect more of this in the coming months and years.
