As Assad Regime falls in just 12 days after the rebels from Idlib under the leadership of Abu Muhammad al Julani, the commander of the organization Hayat Tahrir Al Sham (HTS), speculation is on that Greater Israel is coming. The article explains that Greater Israel is an ilusion since it is neither the goal of USA nor Israel. For creating Greater Israel huge land has to be taken in control for which Israel needs huge man power. But Israel don't have enough man power to got for Greater Israel. Instead, we must concentrate on the US offical policy of Michael O'Hanlon'd theory homogeneous nation states.
O'Hanlon theory tells that the 16th century and 17th century wars especially Thirty years of War 1618-48 created monolinguistic monoreligious nation states throughout Western and Northern Europe. The continuous wars and evictions and counter evictions between Catholics and Protestants created such scenerio. Similarly, West Asia and South Asia will undergo through tumutous periods resulting in equilibrium of homogeneous nation states.
So after the fall of Assad we can safely conclude that there is no greater Israel coming. If HTS is pro Israel, it will try to curve out Sunni state in Iraq which will create a ripple effect of Kurdistan balkanizing Iraq Syria Turkey. If HTS is pro Turkey, it will try to disarm Syrian Kurds (SDF) either by offering them place in government or by force. If former is true, Michael O'Hanlon plan will executed ie breaking Iraq Syria Turkey to crate Kurdistan and Sunni Iraq and also curving out a Shite state in south eastern Saudi arabia.
Curving out Sunni Sistan Balochistan from Iran and joining it with Baluchistan of Pakistan will be next. Pakistan will be further broken by adding Pastun dominated region of Pakistan in Afghanistan. US and India tried this in Afghan War (2001-21) after toppling the Taliban government. But Taliban defeated US India completely and so the plan failed. Using base of Afghanistan, US also tried to break away Xinjiang province from China. Today anti Assad Sunni Jihadi rebels contain many Uyghurs of Xinjiang, China.
Breaking India into 15 to 30 monolinguistoc monoreligious nations is in the plan too. Initially US thought India will be handy to fight China and break Pakistan and so initial US strategy was only after destroying Chinese threat it will go for balkanization of India. But since India has been proven to be less useful against China, US may have actually hastened the process of balkanization of India. It can be seen from US protection for Khalistan freedom fighters and many has pointed out US dubious role in India's North East freedom fighting movements too. Creating homogeneous nation states and completing the primitive accumulation is the primary objective of Michael O'Hanlon Plan.
